Ooh, it’s been a busy one. There’s been sunshine, moonlight, good times, and even boogie-ing.
Perhaps I should start at the top?
Firstly, Liverpool band The Roscoes have recently released their new single and B-side, ‘When He Gets You Down’ and ‘Novahell’, respectively. In order to launch the release of these singles onto iTunes, they held a gig at the Pilgrim pub in Liverpool, for which I led the filming team. The resulting footage will be edited into a music video for ‘Novahell’ — watch this space!
The 1st of March saw the opening of the new Everyman Theatre after ten years of planning and two further years of construction. In order to mark the historic event, the Everyman & Playhouse company staged a parade leading from the Playhouse, through Liverpool city centre, ending up at the new Everyman, accompanied by projected short films and other graphic elements, which I worked on. A number of local events companies worked together to stage this show, including the Liverpool Lantern Company, Walk The Plank, Sense of Sound and more.
I’m also in discussions with LIPA artists Chanel Samson and Melodie Ng to create the music videos for their latest tracks — more on that to come!
Oh, and there’s the LIPA shows, too. I’m working on The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde/Neil Bartlett) and Happy End (Kurt Weill/Bertolt Brecht). These are currently in the design stage, so it’s hush-hush at the moment.
It’s all very exciting!
